Program Description
ETH Zurich ranks among the top 10 universities in the world. With 21 Nobel Prize winners associated with the institute, ETH has a well-deserved reputation for state-of-the-art research. Students will have the opportunity to combine coursework with research. ETH is located in Zurich, which is consistently rated as one of the best places in the world to live.
Courses
ETH is a science and technology university with particularly strong programs in architecture, engineering, computer science, materials science, industrial management and manufacturing, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, earth sciences and environmental sciences. Students enroll directly in the university and take classes with local students.
Costs
ETH Zurich exchange students pay Northwestern tuition ($14,460 for Fall 2012.) Students should also budget approximately $5,000 for housing and meals, about $1,500 for international airfare, and approximately $3,500 for personal expenses, such as travel and entertainment. All students are eligible to apply for IPD and external funding opportunities and will be subject to existing withdrawal and cancellation policies.
