Program Description

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) is located in the beautiful city of Santiago and is close to the ocean, mountains and vineyards. Home to 20,000 students, PUC is spread out between four campuses. The university is proud of their role as a national center of research in a number of important fields. The university also maintains an extensive network of partners around the globe leading to an international educational environment.

Courses

Programs are available in Architecture, Arts, Biological Sciences, Business Administration and Economics, Chemistry, Communications, Design and Urban Studies, Education, Engineering, History, Geography, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, and Social Sciences. Students enroll directly in the university and take classes with local students.

Costs

PUC-Chile exchange students pay Northwestern tuition ($14,460 for Fall 2012.) Students should also budget approximately $4,500 for housing and meals, about $2,000 for international airfare, and approximately $3,000 for personal expenses, such as travel and entertainment.  All students are eligible to apply for IPD and external funding opportunities and will be subject to existing withdrawal and cancellation policies.
