Medill 2019

My name is Jordan Moreau, I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and I'm a junior with a major in journalism, minor in Spanish and a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications. I studied abroad in Barcelona over the summer of 2017 with the Spanish Language & Culture Summer Program at Northwestern. That trip was only the second time I had been out of the country, and during the program I went to France and Italy. It sounds cheesy, but studying abroad in the summer helped me discover a passion for travel that I never knew I had before coming to Northwestern.

SoC 2020

Hi! My name is Lindsey McKone. I am a sophomore Communication Studies major with a Spanish minor and Integrated Marketing Communications certificate. I am a member of the Women's Lacrosse Team. I loved my time abroad and would love to talk to anyone about how to maximize their time during their program. The ability to immerse myself in a culture different from my home was an incredible opportunity!

Medill 2018

Hi! My name is Jacqui, and I'm studying Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communications. I studied abroad twice during my third year (junior year) at Northwestern. In the Fall I participated in the Madrid Spanish & European Studies and in the Spring I completed my journalism residency in Johannesburg, South Africa. My favorite part about studying abroad in Madrid was being able to travel with one of my best friends, who is also my sorority sister. Working abroad in Johannesburg was quite different from studying abroad, but it was extremely valuable because I feel like I interacted more with the community.

Weinberg 2019
Hi, my name is Andrea and I'm a junior majoring Biological Sciences and Spanish. I'm Pre-Vet, so I can definitely help anyone with questions about studying abroad while keeping up with Pre-Med/Vet requirements. This fall, I studied in Barcelona with the Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad (CASA). My favorite experience abroad was volunteering at an animal shelter and meeting so many Barcelona locals that I would have never known if not for the shelter. While in Barcelona, I learned more about Spanish history and culture than I ever could have imagined, even a bit of Catalan too. I loved studying in Spain for 4 months and I'd be more than happy to answer any questions that you have!!!!
